Saints Row | Mercado Part I

Mercado was a really special district for me because it was the district I helped establish the overall layouts for. At Volition, We do stages 1-5 for blockwork. The second stage involves gathering reference and doing basic layouts for blocks. Other artists can then use this to help jumpstart their own work and know what to reference and where. There were a few blocks I got to take to completion, and these are some of them! Downtown Mercado has some Santa Fe influences, maybe you can spot some Easter Eggs O.O

I took blocks from rough blockout to finished polish and everything in-between, each piece varied with lots of work from other individuals on structures, props, materials, etc. I worked closely with other Artists, Leads, Designers, Directors, and Outsourcing on this awesome game.

Our resident Sign Man, James Taylor, thought this park I worked on would only be fittingly be named "Megan Park"

Took this park/ art garden from a bare lot, to finished polish. Blocked out metal statues that were then finished by another artist
